How to Edit Video Before Burning DVD

In previous tutorials we share with you knowledges about how to convert and burn videos and movies to DVD, and here we explain in detail how to edit video effects before burning DVD using Aimersoft DVD Creator.

Aimersoft DVD Creator offers an unique video editing function, which allows users to crop the area size, to adjust video effects, to trim video length, to design the watermark and to plug-in subtitle. What's more, the powerful editing function is quite easy and simple to take that it takes you only few clicks to perfect your DVD.

Step 1: Select a video file to edit

After dragging & dropping loaded video files to the storyboard below, select a video file which you want to edit and click "Edit selected video file" to start operation.

You can preview clearly in two real-time preview windows.

Step2: Crop

Click "Crop", then you will see four tabs: "Zoom", "Left", "Top", and "Croped area size". Area size of the video could be specified by either dragging the frame around the video or setting the crop values under the later three tabs.

Below the crop pane, you can select an output aspect ratio among "Keep orginal", "Full screen", "16:9", "4:3", "Letter box" and "Pan Scan" by clicking "Zoom".

Tip: Drag the frame around the video to the video edge, select "Full screen" option under "Zoom" drop-down menu, then you will enjoy your movies in a full screen.

Step 3: Set the effects

Click "Effect", then you can adjust video effects here. Simply drag each adjustment slider to set the video effects as you like: brightness, contrast and saturation. You can also select effect such as "Emboss", "Gray", "Negative", "Old film", or just "No effect", which depends on your choice.

Step 4: Trim

Click "Trim", then you can trim any segment or capture a clip of the video by setting the start time and end time. And the selected length is shown.

Step 5: Watermark design

Click "Watermark", and choose to startup watermark, then you can design the watermark by using image or text. You can also set parameters such as "Transparency", "Vertical Space" and "Level Space" or just drag the watermark in the window.

Step 6: Plug-in subtitle

This function is restricted to MKV files: if your video and the subtitle are separated into two files, this software helps you to plug-in the subtitle.
