How to Copy DVD to Hard Disk

How to copy DVD to hard disk for DVD backup on computer? Actually you have two ways to have the job done: copy DVD to ISO image file and copy DVD to DVD folder with VOB files in it. Following is a simple step-by-step guide which shows you how to copy DVD to hard disk quickly.

Requirements

Step 1: Download Aimersoft DVD Copy and install it

Note: A DVD-RAM driver (DVD driver with burning function) is indispensible if you want to copy DVD to another DVD disc. Here, a DVD-ROM is enough.

After you have installed and launched Aimersoft DVD Copy, click the "Source" drop-down list to browse your computer and locate your source DVD, you will see two options: "DVD Folder" and "DVD-ROM". Since a DVD disc has been inserted, select "DVD-ROM".

Click the "Target" drop-down list to select a target to output the selected DVD movie. Aimersoft DVD Copy can bypass DVD copyright protection and copy DVD to hard disk saved as ISO image file or DVD folder.

Copy DVD to ISO: If you want to copy DVD to ISO image file for DVD backup on computer, you can select "Image File" between "DVD Folder" and "Image File" option, and specify a directory to save the copied DVD movie.

Copy DVD to DVD folder: If you want to copy DVD to DVD folder for DVD backup on computer, you can select "DVD folder" between "DVD Folder" and "Image File" option, and specify a directory to save the copied DVD movie.

If you want to copy the whole videos from the dvd disc, you can select "Full Movie" Mode; if you only want to copy the main movie, not the feature, the introduction of upcoming movies and other info that are not related with the movie you want, you can select the "Main Movie" Mode; and if you want to copy the exact title, you can select "Custom Mode" and preview to check your desired ones.

After all things done, click "Start" to start copying DVD to ISO or DVD folder. The copying process will be complete in a few minutes.
