How to Copy DVD to ISO

This article will show you how to copy DVD to ISO image file with an easy-to-use DVD copy software, so you can backup your DVD movies on PC and manage your ISO files easily.

What you need

Software: Aimersoft DVD Copy

Hardware: DVD driver (DVD-ROM)

Introduction

Step 1: Download Aimersoft DVD Copy and install it

Step 2: Select DVD Source

Step 3: Select DVD Target-ISO

Step 4: Select Copy Mode

Step 5: Start Copying

Copy DVD to ISO Step 1: Download Aimersoft DVD Copy and install it

Note: A DVD-RAM driver (DVD driver with burning function) is indispensible if you want to copy DVD to another DVD disc. Here, a DVD-ROM is enough.

After you have installed and launched Aimersoft DVD Copy, click the "Source" drop-down list and you will see two options: "DVD Folder" and "DVD-ROM".

From DVD disc: If you want to copy DVD to ISO from DVD disc, just select "DVD-ROM"(if you have a DVD-RAM driver installed, here it will appear as "DVD-RAM"), and insert the DVD disc which you want to copy into the driver as shown in the following figure.

From DVD folder: If you want to want to copy DVD to ISO from a local DVD folder saved on your PC, just select "DVD Folder", a window will pop up for you to browse your computer and locate the DVD folder.

Click the "Target" drop-down list you will see three options: "DVD-RAM driver", "Image File (*.iso)" and "DVD Folder". Since here I have installed a DVD-ROM driver which could not burn DVD, I can see only two options: "Image File" and "DVD Folder". In order to copy DVD to ISO, select "Image File (*.iso)" option and specify a directory to save the copied DVD movie.

Click the "Copy mode" drop-down list you will see three options: "Full Movie", "Main Movie", and "Custom Mode".

Full Movie: If you want to copy the whole videos from the dvd disc, you can select "Full Movie" mode;

Main Movie: If you only want to copy the main movie, not the feature, the introduction of upcoming movies or other info that are not related with the movie you want, just select the "Main Movie" mode;

Custom Mode:if you want to copy the exact title, you can select "Custom Mode" and preview to check your desired ones as shown in the following figure:

After all things done, click "Start" to start copying DVD to ISO image file. The copying process will be complete in a few minutes.
